Our adoption updates

The text that began a new chapter

On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 12:52 p.m. Mountain Time, a text arrived from our son Simeon’s birth mom. She had something she wanted to run by us. As the conversation unfolded, she shared that her water had broken and she was going to give birth to another baby. Then came a question that opened the door to a new chapter for our family: would we adopt this little one? That conversation was the beginning of our journey toward Charlie—the possibility of welcoming Simeon’s sibling into our family, with one more place at our table.
