What we collect
When you report a gift or start card checkout, we keep the amount, payment method, payment status, optional name and email, optional message, recognition preferences, timestamps, refund information, and payment references needed to maintain an accurate contribution ledger.
What is shown publicly
The site shows the total of verified gifts after refunds. Your display name and message are published only with your explicit consent and family approval. Choosing anonymity replaces your display name with “Anonymous friend” for public recognition. Please avoid putting private information in any message you consent to publish.
Payment providers
Card information is entered on Square’s hosted pages. Zelle, Cash App, and Apple Cash gifts take place through their respective services. We do not collect bank credentials or complete card details. Each payment service handles information according to its own policies.
Storage and access
The ledger is stored in a private Cloudflare D1 database. Authorized family administrators access it through verified Cloudflare Access sessions. Administrative changes are recorded in a private audit trail. Cloudflare processes connection information for hosting, security, and rate limiting.
Cookies and analytics
The public site uses no advertising cookies or third-party analytics. The private administration area uses Cloudflare Access authentication cookies.
Corrections and removal
Reach our family through your existing family contact or the verified recipient contact in the contribution instructions to request a correction, withdraw public recognition consent, or ask about deletion. We may need to retain payment and audit records for accounting, disputes, or applicable obligations.
[Before launch: add a dedicated family privacy contact and a retention schedule appropriate to your circumstances. Review provider disclosures against your final configuration.]
